On Saturday, we went over to my mom's to celebrate easter, since I will have to work on the actual day. The girls were excited to get baskets from the Easter Bunny and even more excited to get the eggs he left.
Papa showing Reece her new chapsticks.
So excited to get the eggs.
Cailey did her hair all by herself. She was so proud of it and looked so cute.
Getting all the eggs.
Showing what she got inside her eggs.
Chocolate! This is what stopped her from getting eggs last year. Once she realized there was candy in them, it was over.
Since we have lived in Beaumont, we have gotten snow once a year, for about a day. This year, two back to back, cold storms rolled through, giving us snow again! The girls got up before Mommy left for work and wanted to turn the fireplace on because it was so cold outside.
Reece went for her 3 year well check with Dr. Cohen. Poor thing was so scared to even put the gown on. She screamed when the nurse took her blood pressure and fought Mommy while putting on the gown. Sissy came to the rescue and got her B out of Mommy's purse.
After she realized that nothing was going to hurt. She didn't cry at all for Dr. C! She let him check her over and opened her mouth for him to look in and was perfect. The poor nurse wasn't so lucky.
Every two years, my girls will have an EKG to check their hearts for WPW or SVT as their hearts grow and change. Since has shown up on Daddy's side of the family, this will be routine for us. Reece had her first EKG at 1 year old and did great. She was so interested at a year old and sat every still while they put all the leads on and for the short minute they took the readings. This time was different because she is more aware and scared. Once Cailey did hers and Reece realized it didn't hurt, she did ok.
She is perfectly healthy. Tall and skinny.
After the doctors, we had some errands to run and the girls were so good so they got to pick out cookies. They picked out their favorite.
Tonight was our first open house at Cailey's preschool. She was so happy to show us around at everything she has been doing. We also got to talk to her teachers and walk around her school.
Smiling with her sister, her frog between them.
We are so proud of how well she is doing and how good she is at school. We know she will be well prepared for kindergarten. She is already reading and spelling some small words and working on bigger ones. She will start testing the week before Easter and we will get her results a few weeks after that.
Kevin is an auto mechanic who works for the second largest employer in Southern California. He can fix anything, from cars to bikes to dolls. Brittany is an Assistant Manager working for the largest employer in Southern California. In her spare time she chases the girls around and tries to do as much with them as possible... and the cleaning too. Cailey is a bright little girl that will talk your ear off. She is our little princess and loves to read, dress up, play teacher, dance and watch movies. Reece is a wild little girl. We often refer to her as our little boy because she will try anything, but she is also a big cuddle bug too who loves to dance and ride her bike. Thats us, living life.
This blog is set up, purely to let family and friends know what we have been up to. It will also be made into a book yearly for our kids to enjoy and keep.
