Ten on Tuesday

1. Not so much is going on here. Just getting ready for a hot summer. It got up into the 80's today and its been getting warmer each day.....

2. I have to have a small surgery on July 8th. I have an IUD that is stuck.... fun stuff.

3. Still waiting for CT scan results on my ear...I did call today, but they have not received them yet.

4. I cannot wait for vacation at the end of July. We are going to camp at the Kern River with the girls. Kevin is going with our friends for 9 days.... we will probably just meet him up there for 4 or 5 days. We will see when the time is closer. I also want to go to the beach the first day or so of my vacation.

5. NKOTB and BSB...... here come Shannon, Breanne and I, July 6th. Like Shannon says "It's my second grade dream!" Note: the BSB was the first concert Shannon and I went to. We saw them from a luxury box at the Pond in Anaheim.

6. I just got the girls thank you notes mailed out. It took forever but I am thankful its done.

7. I love Etsy. I just like to go on and look.... some things you can tell are complete crap but others... people have some crazy crafting talent.

8. In a little over a week, we will have been married 5 years. 5 years! I cannot believe how fast time has flown! I feel so lucky to have such a great husband.

9. I really need a vacation. and no, going to Vegas in October is not vacation. I want to go some where tropical and pretty. Where I can lay in the sun.....not Hawaii though... some where else... I don't know where though....

10. My only day off is Thursday. I am going to hang out at home and really... stay home. I am only leaving when the bug guy comes to spray and then I am coming back. Hopefully its hot so the girls and I can play in the water outside and enjoy the day together.....

Ten on Tuesday

1. After having two days off, I start at my second new store tomorrow afternoon. I am nervous, excited, anxious and a bunch of other emotions all at once. It's another big change for me on the work front, in a short time. I can just dive in, headfirst, and hope all goes well.

2. We spent a little bit of tonight over at my sister in laws house. Our nieces Christmas present came (it was on backorder) and we delivered it. I love to hold that little one and every time I do, it definitely satisfies any baby need in me.

3. Reece has been in her big girl bed since shortly after Christmas and she is doing AMAZING! She goes down easy and stays all night, calling for me or Kevin when she wakes up. Perfection.

4. I just started doing Project 365. It's a photography project, one frame a day, for a year. Wish me luck. I really hope I can stick with it this year.

5. I am so addicted to Words with Friends right now. I am not very good but I love playing it.

6. Next week is vacation!!! Yay, a week with no work. After the holiday season, I cannot wait to relax.

7. One thing we are doing, is taking an adult trip to Big Bear to snowboard and spend some quality Mommy/Daddy time together in the snow. I am so excited because I haven't used my snowboard since before I got married.

8. We are also going to visit Kevin's grandparents. We want the kids to be able to see them and spend time with them as much as possible. We can't wait to go up there.

9. Planning has started for the girls joint birthday party. I still don't know when it will take place but a theme has been chosen and some searching has begun. So many ideas, I cannot wait to really start buying things and nailing down important details. Definitely more to come...!

10. I don't know why this is a face she pulls out more and more lately. I was looking at pictures, preparing to order some new prints and there are a lot of her like this. Silly girl.

Ten on Tuesday

1. Is it really almost Christmas?!?! 4 days and counting.....

2. Because Papa is going to Hawaii for Christmas, we will be spending Christmas Eve with him for dinner at Aunt Stacy's after Mommy gets off of work.

3. Reece has been teething the last couple of days and poor girl is in misery. She is getting her last two bottom teeth, the eye teeth, the pointy ones.... they are taking forever to come in and she has just been a cuddle bug today.

4. I haven't wrapped on single present. That is my goal tonight. To get it all done in one sitting. I am scared if I try to break it up, I will never go back and finish the rest because it is too time consuming.

5. Mommy's new store is working out well. It's slower than the other one but it is giving some great shifts, meaning Mommy has been able to spend time with the girls and Daddy a little more in the evening.

6. Reece is getting a big girl bed for Christmas. I am very anxious about this because I don't know how well she is going to do in it. She doesn't go to bed well always and may be the child who gets up 10 times before falling asleep right by her door.

7. My phone is acting up and driving me up the wall. It says it is low on memory, won't let me text or receive messages and is getting crappy service. So it looks like today, before we meet up with Daddy, we are going to Verizon to get it looked at.

8. Just a few last minute things to get today and the Christmas shopping will be done!

9. Is it sad that I have not yet showered today and the girls are still in their pj's? It is pouring rain, the way it has been for about 3 days now, and gloomy. Nothing goes better than pj's and lounging (cleaning).

10. I woke up this morning to the spa cover wide open. I don't have any clue how this happened, it is heavy and takes two to lift. I know it was windy but not windy enough to blow it all the way open. I think someone in the neighborhood thinks its ok to come in when no one is home.

Ten on Tuesday

1. Brooklyn came over to play with the girls today. Mommy and Shannon started on the copy of the Pottery Barn signs for Reece's room. They look good so far!

2. Reece had a rash all over her back and front. It appeared the day after thanksgiving and is gone now (thanks to Altabax, the pediatrician calls it neosporin on crack). Dr. Cohen said that its probably something viral and if it didn't run its course in 7 days to bring her in. It is gone now but that girl has the most sensitive skin. It still rough to the touch but no raised red spots that were there before.

3. The outside and most of the inside of our house is decorated for Christmas. We just need to get a tree in a couple of weeks and we will be all set for Christmas!

4. We went black friday shopping and managed to complete most of the Christmas shopping on that one day. Thank goodness for good deals and good kids who were very good being dragged from store to store.

5. Our family is anxiously awaiting the birth of our first niece! Cheyenne Nicole is due December 17th but Aunt Stacy is full term now and it could be any day. We can't wait!

6. We finally have a repair guy/gal from Sears coming out next week to look at our new dishwasher. It washes normally, only in the normal cycle. Any other cycle, hot water wash, steam dry...anything other than just the normal button pushed and it doesn't use the soap or leaves a very thick residue all over everything. NOT normal and we need to get it fixed before the warranty is up.

7. Uncle Brandon is coming out the week before Christmas! We are excited to see him, and the rest of the family, for Christmas at Grandma's on Saturday the 18th.

8. The weather here this winter is already unseasonably cold! Yesterday, we went for library story/class time at about 10 in the morning and it was only 45 degrees out. So cold for this time of year in southern California. Then when Kevin got up to go to work yesterday it was 28 degrees outside. Looks like its going to be a cold winter that us So Cal people are not used to!

9. We are having brunch here on Christmas day for our immediate family. Nice to spend it with those close and stay at home.... <3

10. My original two posts could not be done because blogger is having an issue uploading pictures. It keeps telling me internal server error.... so you get this instead. :)

Ten on Tuesday (on a Wednesday)

1. Reece is doing so well at ballet. Cookies are the key and I love that she likes it. Cailey had no real desire to do it at all. She could care less. Oh well, she stuck it out for her month.

2. This weather is driving us crazy. First it was rain that stuck us in the house, now its violent high wind warnings. The wind died down a little bit tonight and we were able to go on a walk, with the girls bundled in the wagon with blankets and sweaters, looking at neighbors houses that are decorated for Halloween.

3. Work is keeping mommy on her toes.

4. We cannot wait for this weekend. Pumpkin carving/painting, dinner with our friends, costumes and trick or treating. It is going to be a nice time with our close friends. Pictures will definitely follow.

5. Mommy's camera has been neglected lately. There has been a lot going on with work and home stuff that its just been hanging out. We are going to try to rectify that tomorrow, as long as the winds die down and we can go outside.

6. Everyone's sheets were changed today (except ours, thats tomorrow) and all the winter blankets have been put on. It gets very cold here at night in the winter, down into the low 30's, rarely the high 20's. It has snowed once a year since we have been here and even though its Southern California, we do live in a slightly higher elevation that we get a little bit of extreme weather. Its just enough to love it and not have to deal with the problems of snow for months on end.

7. Christmas is coming so fast this year. I am not at all ready and don't feel prepared at all. I don't have a lot of people to buy for or things to get but I do have some so I need to get started.

8. We now own the Tahoe free and clear! It is exciting but now watch, something will break on it. Lets hope not.

9. Reece's vocabulary is exploding. She is putting words together. Just some: Cailey, sissy, Mommy, Daddy, Tank, Tonka, Granny, Grandma, Papa, Please, Thank you, see him(when she sees something), no, juice, milk, fork, spoon, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, ears (all while poking you in these places), book, up, dog, cat, fox, tiger, cow, horse (and the noises some animals make), pumpkin, chalk, color, yogurt.... and I could go on and on. She really speaks a lot now and its getting clearer and clearer. She calls her blanket a "B" and is more attached to them then Cailey was at this age.

10. Cailey is getting so big. She is so ready for preschool. So ready. It means that Mommy has to start seriously looking into them. We have kind of casually started to search for one but the time is coming for her to go and we need to look into them and take a couple of tours. This makes Mommy sad that she is getting so big but proud that she is doing so well.

Ten on Tuesday

1. Ballet went a little bit better today. Reece had a little bit better of a time..... Cailey not so much. We will still go, finish out the month and take it from there.

2. Daddy sanded the wood for the signs Mommy is making for Reece's room. Copying an idea from somewhere else for a fraction of the price. Hopefully it turns out well.

3. Along with that project, there is the Halloween project. Making a wood sign for our mantel. Just have to measure, cut and sand the wood.

4. The girls have been exposed to chicken pox. It has a 2 week incubation period. The doctor says they should be protected because they are vaccinated. He also said we only have to isolate them if they get a fever (the fever will show up before the spots). But we still have to skip the birthday this weekend because of the un vaccinated newborn and prego auntie that will be there. Just in case.

5. Mommy applied for 2 more promotional positions. We will see how this turns out.

6. It is time for the pumpkin patch. This week or next we will be taking the girls there. They love to spot it as we drive by.

7. Today is my Friday! It will be nice for a couple of days off. Get to work on some art projects.

8. Reece was getting into trouble, taking things off Kevin's nightstand. When she went to do it a second time, he told her to stop and she looked at him and said "I'm sorry Daddy." Then she climbed down. So cute and her vocabulary is really exploding.

9. Aunt Stacy's baby shower is coming soon and we can't wait!

10. I love my girls a bunch. I do feel like they need to get into more extra curricular activities. We do the library and dance (that isn't going great). Maybe preschool for Cailey? She is more than ready and I think if she goes by herself she will see new situations aren't so scary. Mommy had looked into one near us before but maybe its time to revisit that idea. Originally we were going to wait until she was 4 and put her in for a year before school but now may be a good time. We will see.
