American girl with Reece

When you turn 5 in our family, Granny takes you on a trip to pick out your own American Girl doll.  This years doll is Isabelle, a ballerina.  She was a perfect fit for Reece.  Reece talked about American girl for weeks before she actually went and she kept saying she wanted Saige.  Saige was the girl of the year a few years before and we kept telling her Saige she would have to be prepared in case Saige was no longer available.  We surprised her one morning by taking her to American girl for lunch.  She had no idea where she was going but the minute she saw Isabelle in her ballerina outfit, she was hooked.

See?!  She was so excited and kept saying "Mommy I want her!"  We knew once she saw Isabelle, she would love her.

Granny got her the doll and a few things for Isabelle.  Grandma, Papa, Mommy and Daddy got her even more. She came home with almost everything for her American girl doll.

After picking out her doll and everything to go with her, we waited to be seated for lunch.

Isabelle got her own little chair next to the birthday girl and matching crowns.

When she got home, she could hardly wait to play with her sister and her American girl doll, Makenna.

They enjoyed a picnic and then a sleepover in the living room.

New best friends.
