A little celebration

After everyone had dinner at their respective houses, they all came over for cupcakes and ice cream here. We gave Reece her gifts the night before her birthday because we knew she would want to play with them and we were going to be gone all day on her birthday. Granny gave her her presents from her too. It was nice to have a quiet little celebration of our baby girl.Rocking the inside out had with apron.....
Kevin brought the car in the house and honked the horn. Reece took off running from the living room and ran right past where he was. She was so excited!

Making cupcakes

The girls love to help out in the kitchen, especially Cailey. So on Saturday, when all it did was rain, snow, and stay gray outside, I suggested that we make cupcakes for Reece's birthday. Cailey was all about it and Reece wanted to help too.

Putting in the liners
Stirring all of the ingredients together.....
Decorating! (After they came out and cooled for a long while)
Reece decided a whole bottle of sprinkles (and a good lick) made her perfect cupcake.

Happy Valentines Day!!

While trying to get cute pictures of the girls in their valentines shirts and skirts, our neighbor Madison was out and heard us. They girls loved looking at her and talking to her though the little holes and cracks in the fence. They thought it was hilarious and to me, their conversation was pretty funny too.Wondering what is going on.... at first.....
Let the laughter commence.....
Such a cutie pie!
Still trying to see Madison.....
She was talking to me....
After the fence held no more amusement.... the slide called their names.
Funny faces were also entertainment..
Reece is very eager to ride Cailey's trike. She is so determined, I don't think it will take her long to figure out.
Things I am loving about my girls right now....

their amazing vocabulary,
the way they interact and play with each other,
their hugs and kisses,
the insane curiosity they have,
their laughter and smiles,
their love of dress up and mommy's shoes,
and the thing I love the most right now is that at the end of the day, when everyone has had their milk and is in their pj's, they ask to cuddle. Cailey says "Mommy will you cuddle with me?" while Reece's version is shorter and more to the point, " Cuddle you?"

Saying goodbye is the hardest part

Last Sunday, we lost a great man. A husband, father, uncle, son, brother, and friend. Today, we celebrated his life and held the hands of the family he left behind. He was a wonderful man, described as a gentle giant by most and a talented musician. He is loved and will be missed.

A day with Cheyenne

Today we had the privilege of watching our niece. My sister in law had to attend a conference so we took care of Cheyenne until her Daddy got off work and picked her up. It was fun to have a baby in the house (I still don't want one, unless you can guarantee a boy!) and the girls loved her. Here are a few pics from today....Instead of looking at Auntie... I will just suck on my arm...
Thats a Chase face.....
